Mëcèh-g̈înë Bî (/ˈahɘ/ /ˈg̃ɪnë/ [simple] [appetite]) is a subtropical Town located in the Vapíatacê Zone of the Union of Engineers.

The name Mëcèh-g̈înë Bî is derived from the Iron Elvish language, as Mëcèh-g̈înë Bî was founded by Tsadik Sheshë, who was culturaly Iron Elven.

Climate

Overview

Mëcèh-g̈înë Bî was founded durring the early 16th century in winter of the year 1537, by Tsadik Sheshë. The establishment of Mëcèh-g̈înë Bî suffered from several major issues, resulting in the need to develop many solutions to basic problems. Problems such as a lack of fresh water, logistical support, poor quality tools, and the odd monster or two. Howeaver, these were overcome in time.

Mëcèh-g̈înë Bî was built using the conventions of Iron Elven durring the early 16th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Mëcèh-g̈înë Bî is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature plaster covered brickwork used to form structures with an emphasis on symmetry, proportion, geometry and the regularity of parts. Orderly arrangements of columns, pilasters and lintels, as well as the use of semicircular arches, hemispherical domes, niches and aediculae can be found everywhere such that only size of building and yard can be used to measure the general prosparity of a given building's owners due to a general wealthy feeling the style gives off.

Mëcèh-g̈înë Bî is buildings are arranged arround a network of crampt gravel streets which form a diagonal shaped grid, where each square verries in size given the proximity of the paralell streets forming each section. The ocasional smaller square has been used to construct a park, plaza, and other communal structures. The town resides behind a palisade wall complete with battlments, a moat, and timber gatehouses with drawbridges. The robustly designed timber walls has suffered a visible ammount of structural damage, leaving them effectivly useless. One can't help but wonder why the has not yet effected repairs.

A look around Mëcèh-g̈înë Bî gives you a feeling of distrust and paranoia. Also greed. The locals seem to be very much into scholastic pursuits, based on the hushed, murmured conversations you hear at least. Everyone in Mëcèh-g̈înë Bî acts like they have discovered something wondrous, and are worried they will endure some horrible fate so another can take what they’ve discovered for themselves.

Mëcèh-g̈înë Bî possesses a Galvanic Power Grid, which brings galvanic current to most if not all buildings in town, and permits a great many consumer goods to function within the Town. Mëcèh-g̈înë Bî's grid is powered by mana accumulators.

Mëcèh-g̈înë Bî possesses an older civil lighting system consisting of street lamps. In spite of the Galvanic Grid, these lights continue to use their old fule sources to provide nighttime illumination to all city streets.

Mëcèh-g̈înë Bî has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands.

Mëcèh-g̈înë Bî has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.

Cultural Notes

Religious leaders are influential in almost any community, but in Mëcèh-g̈înë Bî they make up the final authorities. It may be an explicit theocracy, with rule by the clerics of a particular faith, or a temple might be so important and powerful that the official leaders are helpless to resist its will. The locals can be expected to be loyal adherents to the faith, or else the less pious majority is deeply intimidated by the religion’s believers.

The quake brought ruin to Mëcèh-g̈înë Bî, which lost 107 people, 118 livestock, and 98 buildings in the earthquake. The day of the quake is remembered by many as Grief's Day.
